He calls it his Kelvenator!
MY 1937 NASH AMBASSADOR
I first found this car in 1956 in a locked garage by a friend’s on 35th Ave. in West Seattle. I was 14 years old at the time. After 2 years of my countless attempts with the owner, Harry Lyn, he finally let me see it.
Henry had been injured in an accident in 1940 and had not driven it since then. It had 17,000 miles on it at that time.
Henry had been a Port Townsend fireman. Since most fire trucks at that time were right hand steering, Henry ordered his Nash with right hand steering.
After much negotiation I bought the car for $150.00. A lot of money for a 16 yr. old boy! I bought and sold many cars during my high school years but I always kept the Nash as “my best”.
It has been used for 68 years to help celebrate special occasions in my family including weddings and anniversaries. It now has 34,000 miles on it and is still completely original with the exception of having the fenders repainted about 55 years ago.

I would like to thank Denny for that great car article!
